Learn how to navigate the worlds of self- and traditional publishing in this program led by career editor and writer Sharon Verbeten and local writer Melissa Gorzelanczyk, author of the young adult novel Arrows. They'll discuss refining and revising your manuscript, writing powerful query letters and detail the "dos and don'ts" of being a successful writer. This Event is Free and Open to the Public.

Melissa Gorzelanczyk is a young adult author who believes love is everything. Her debut novel ARROWS is out now from Penguin Random House. Booklist called it, “A sweet high-school twist on Greek mythology with added substance about teen parenting and breaking out of a bad relationship.”She lives in Green Bay, Wisconsin, with her husband and family.

Sharon Verbeten is a career journalist with more than 20 years’ experience as a writer and editor for newspapers and trade magazines. She worked for more than 10 years as editorial director at Krause Publications, overseeing three trade publications and authoring two books. She currently owns her own freelance writing/editing firm All Write Creative Services and works as a children’s librarian for Brown County Library.
