Kimberly Barrett

Dr. Kimberly Barrett is a author, consultant and award winning academic. She earned graduate degrees in clinical psychology and higher education administration. Throughout her career, in addition to writing, she held senior positions working to promote adult learning and development, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging for businesses, educational institutions and nonprofit organizations.

Kimberly served as an administrator at universities in the U.S. and Canada (including two in Wisconsin, Lawrence University in Appleton and UW Eau Claire), taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels and served as a columnist and commentator for newspapers and radio. Dr. Barrett has been active in a variety of boards and community organizations working to promote social justice and the arts such as the United Way, Harbor House and the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Barrett recently published her book, Rethinking Race: A Memoir.
