Cathryn Cofell

Cathryn Cofell is the author of eight books of poetry, including Stick Figure with Skirt, winner of the Main Street Rag Poetry Book Award. Additional awards include the Lorine Niedecker Poetry Award, the Mill Prize, and the Christopher Latham Sholes award for mentoring other poets. Her poems have been set to music on Lip, with Obvious Dog, and in concrete on the sidewalks of two Wisconsin cities. She is Appleton, Wisconsin’s first poet laureate, Immediate Past President of the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets, and coordinator of the Poetry Unlocked reading series.
