Valerie Murrenus Pilmaier

Dr. Valerie Murrenus Pilmaier is an Associate Professor and chair of both English and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at UW-Green Bay. She teaches a variety of literature and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies courses including Children’s Literature, LGBTQIA2S+ Literature and Multicultural Literature, as well as Gender in Popular Culture, and all levels of Feminist Theory. Her research interests include the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, trauma-informed pedagogy and literary theory, and the Prison Education Initiative.
